PlayStation Network faced an outage

If you are a user of PlayStation services and you were facing difficulties while logging in to your account and other problems in PS4 or PS5. Therefore, PlayStation Network faced an outage. So, there’s don’t need to panic you were not alone in that case. Unfortunately, all the users were facing an outage in the services of PlayStation. PlayStation suffered issues with multiplayer, store services and many things going down for over an hour. Moreover, the problem occurred worldwide which means not only in few countries.

The news was later confirmed by the official Twitter account of Japan PlayStation. The European nations also faced the same issues as other continents of the world. The Twitter Japan of PSN has apologized to its users for their inconvenience. Furthermore, they also tweeted that they are conducting an investigation and restoration work. Although the tweet was tweeted in Japanese which was later translated into English.

Today, PlayStation users were reporting that they can’t access their PlayStation and its other online services.  The outage affected major online games including Fortnite and MLB The Show. However, the issue was completely resolved after some hours of an outage.  A WS-116415-8 error code was shown on PS5 when the users were asking for access to their accounts. This error code indicates that the servers are down from PSN. The following services of PlayStation Network (PSN) were affected.

  • PlayStation Now
  • PlayStation Video
  • Account management
  • PlayStation Store
  • Account management
  • Gaming and social
  • PlayStation Direct

The PlayStation status page claimed that everything is now running and are absolutely fine. However, during an outage, people had been facing difficulties while downloading games from the PlayStation Store. However, unfortunately, Sony didn’t respond to any question regarding the outage of PSN. At 11 pm BST, there were more than 40,000 reports started to flow on Downdetector.
