After a wait of more than one year finally, Microsoft is getting dark mode for the Android application. Unfortunately, the Microsoft app of Android i.e. Microsoft Office has been on the play store for more than a year and didn’t have a dark mode. This feature was one of the most requested features of all time by the users of Android. As a reminder, the Microsoft Office application app for iOS i.e. iPads and iPhones has already gained its dark mode. After Microsoft Office unveiled for smartphone users, the users requested the developers for the dark mode feature for their convenience. After the Microsoft office gets its dark mode for the users of Android, they can get rid of the irritation of light while reading their documents. Some people don’t need the black theme as they prefer a light theme on most applications of mobile. On the contrary, there’s a majority of those who only use the application that has a built-in dark theme. These people won’t use the app if there’s no dark mode as the dark mode gives you a good experience of visual for mobile. Therefore, on the demand of their users, the software giant has decided to roll out its dark mode feature for Android. The company announced in a statement that they will be rolling out the new feature in a week or two. It means the whole users won’t get this feature instantly. In the first stage, Microsoft will launch its dark mode for the users step by step. After some time the app will gradually get its black theme all over the world and for its all users.

After the new update, the app will eventually enable the dark mode on your handset if you have a dark mode in it by default. Therefore, you don’t need to turn on the dark theme from settings if you’re using Android 10 or above. As we all know, Android 10 or above have the option of dark mode for your entire mobile set. In that way, you’ll only need to tap on the dark mode option in the settings of your mobile. If you’re having the Android below 10, you can manually adjust the settings.

In manual, you have to first install it> Tap on the Profile icon in the Home tab > Go to the Settings and choose between the Light and Dark theme of the app.

Although the PC version of Microsoft Office has already a dark theme except for its pages but the Android was the only platform left for the office. The Android has almost dark themes for all of its applications especially after the launch of Android 10 more than a year ago.

Moreover, the Android application for Microsoft Office can be downloaded from the Google Play Store on your mobile phone. The mobile application of Microsoft Office contains 4 different things. It contains Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in a single app for its users. Additionally, the app also includes instant actions including scanning PDFs, capturing whiteboards, text, and tables into digital versions of them.
