The iOS users will be able to see a larger image and video preview. The media preview and video preview will be seen in groups or conversational chats. This new update is similar to what Twitter is testing a function that will enlarge an image when you share a single picture on it.

Benefits of image preview:

Previously, when you received a picture in your WhatsApp chat you’ll be able to receive it in square form. The users can’t see the whole image properly without opening it. But from the new update, users can see the whole new received image without opening it. For users who are in a hurry and don’t want to open the picture full then this new update will help them.

Disappearing Messages in WhatsApp:

Another update WhatsApp rolled out in version 2.21.71 is the ability of all participants in a group to change the Disappearing Messages setting by default. This means the group participants can change the settings of Disappearing Messages without letting the admin know.  However, admins can still have control of changing the “Edit Group Info” setting. Which will not allow the group participants to change the settings of Disappearing Messages.

Furthermore, with the help of Disappearing Messages. The messages sent in the group will disappear after seven days but the condition is that group chat should have disappearing messages turned on. Luckily, for those who want the chats won’t disappear even after the setting is turned on. WhatsApp won’t allow disappearing the chats from outside the chat or from any devices they’re saved on. Additionally, when a message is forwarded, saved, or favorited on a chat, it won’t disappear as well. Firstly, it was introduced last year, but now it expands for all users of iOS in a group chat of WhatsApp.
